Whilst it may surprise a few people that I’m posting about Android apps in the middle of my Telstra Social Review commitment, it is actually my participation in the program that has led me to find this app. I really want to carry the Mozart as my sole mobile, plus having a phone in both back pockets is causing a serious case of plumbers crack, which is unseemly.
It’s easy enough to set up call forwarding, but there is no option to forward messages, or texts in Froyo. So after searching the Android market, I settled on SMS Forwarder Pro. There were quite a few free apps, but a paid app with a good review rating seemed like the way to go.
Most of the apps I like on Android are those that do one thing, and do it well. SFP [SMS Forwarder Pro] is an app like that, I was looking for one simple function, and ended up with so much more.
SFP is a multifunction forwarding application the will forward to email as well as another phone, effectively allowing you to manage, respond to SMS from whatever device you are using at the time, PC, tablet, iPad or any wap enabled phone, smart or dumb. So now, the Desire can stay at home, albeit turned on, I can stay connected on a temporary number, and no one has to see my posterior. Win Win 🙂
