A Beta of Opera Mobile, version 10 .1 has just hit the Android Market. It’s not based on the native webkit browser technology found in Android, and renders a little slowly. In fact load times seem to be tripled of the native browser for Froyo. It does support tabbed browsing, but that may be the only advantage at the moment.

Opera have been pretty true to form, and have delivered a clone of the windows mobile beta they released back in February. It’s very slow to load though, abysmal if I was to put it bluntly. Remembering this is a Beta, I’d say give it a go, it will only get better.
