The JMTek Crossbox, is one of the better ideas for data transfer between Windows PC’s that I’ve seen.
So here’s the scenario, I’ve been out all day working with my Windows XP EEEPC, writing stuff and adding photos to articles that I’ve been writing. As you do, you want to not clog the little fellow up with too much data. You want to transfer it to your full size laptop or desktop. Also having more power for photo editing and and a larger screen to view the final layout of your work.
One catch though, you know nothing about setting up a network. Well that’s where the Crossbox comes into it’s own, think of it like Activesync for PC’s.
Once connected to each PC, CROSSBOX automatically displays both hard drives on the screen enabling the user to quickly locate and copy files to and from each system.
As simple as that, it comes with it’s own embedded software and is plug and play compliant. it’s as simple as 1, 2, 3.
It’s USB 2.0 and 1.1 compatible. I have only found portable hard drives that could do this before, and this removes the drive from the equation!
Check it out!
